In the beginning of the year, everyone hopes for a new start.


Chinese New Year
I think many of you like this festival for not only is it the end of the year, but also it means we could take a break and enjoy the long vacation. The Chinese New Year is also my favorite festival. Many people have plans or spend the period of time taking a trip or doing something they want to do. That going to my grandparents' home is my favorite activity. It is in a calm and peaceful countryside; however, I really love it. All the relatives come back for the family reunion with some gifts on that day. We surround a big round table to eat the hot pot meal. We are eating, chatting, and laughing while furthering the harmonious relationship among us. Finally, after the meal is the most important moment. You can see all the children stay instead of playing with one other just because they are expecting the red envelopes from the grown-ups. They will get one red envelope only to say "Gon-Shi-Fa-Cai." But now, it's time for me to give red envelopes to them because I am no longer a kid.
